	The last gas station is in Vicuña (aprox. 50 km before Pisco Elqui).
	The next bank and ATM are also in Vicuña.
	In Vicuña you will find the next pharmacy.
	There exists a paramedic in Pisco Elqui. A medical center is in Paihuano. The nearest hospitals are in Vicuña or La Serena.
	There are antennas for cell phones until Pisco Elqui. Your cellphone from the US or Europa will only work here in South America if specially equipped for that. Nevertheless, you can buy a cheap cellphone in Chile.
	Most of the hotels and restaurant accept credit cards, but not all of them do. Please request information. National checks are normally accepted, travel checks normally not (change of traveller checks or cash in La Serena).
	There is no big supermarket in Pisco Elqui, but there are various shops who will provide you with everything necessary for daily life.
	Round the "plaza" you will find a lot of local handicraft.
